Community Feedback: Policies
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (91Ƭ) reviews its policies and procedures on a five-year review cycle. As part of this review process, 91Ƭ values consultation with students, parents and guardians, school and central staff, and community members. If you are interested in sharing your ideas and feedback about a 91Ƭ policy, please click here.
It is important to note that 91Ƭ staff review input and feedback as part of 91Ƭ's five-year policy review and update cycle. If you have an urgent concern, please consult your school principal or 91Ƭ's advocacy policy for more information, as appropriate to the situation.
A policy is a statement or position of a principle, intent or belief adopted by the Board of Trustees that provides the framework for the development of a course of action. It is a commitment by which the Board is held accountable to its public.
The Board's By-Law/Policies Review Committee is a Standing Committee of the Board, meeting quarterly, or at the Call of the Chair, or of the Board. This Committee considers and recommends new and/or draft policies for Board approval.
The maintenance of a policy register is an ongoing process. As issues arise, new policies will be required, as well as the revision of existing policies. 91Ƭ is committed to reviewing policies that reflect the latest developments and current practices of education. As part of its commitment, the Board conducts regular reviews and updates of its policies to ensure they are relevant and supportive of student success. For the 2024-2025 school year, the following Policies for Review will be reviewed to address the needs of the 91Ƭ community and broader educational environment.
Documents are available in accessible formats upon request.
